High Points...

We started off Saturday morning the same as Friday morning, trying to find a great crêpe. Unfortunately, we were really hungry and did not want to search too long. All of the places near us only had the crêpes that were not made as fresh. We still enjoyed them though...

...probably a little too much...

We then headed out walking towards the Eiffel Tower.

We decided to do the Eiffel Tower first thing in the morning when we were fresh. You see, Darcy has a bit of a fear of heights and of open elevators. If we ride an elevator in Vegas that looks outside she gets a little freaked out, so she hated the idea of taking the elevator to the top. So we decided we would walk up instead. We walked up to the first floor and took in those views for a while.

Getting up to the first floor was really difficult for Darcy but she pushed through it. But going to the next level was really too much to ask. She was really scared and it was just not going to be an enjoyable experience for her. I had been to the top before, so we decided to just head out to our next adventure, and take away the fun moments we had experienced from reaching the first floor.
We decided to hop on the metro...

(This picture's for you Gary)
... to go up to the highest natural point in Paris, La basilique du Sacré-Cœur in Montmartre. First though, we just went to Montmartre.

Soon after entering Montmartre, we went to what some would call a riskee neighborhood...

(Le Moulin Rouge)
We then went back up the hill a bit to grab lunch.

(view from our table)

We then began the walk up the remainder of the hill to the highest natural point in Paris.

We decided it was worth the long walk up another spiral staircase to check out the beautiful views from the top of Sacré-Cœur

We were right...

We then headed back down the hill...

...and hopped on the metro to go to the area of St. Germaine de pres. We got off and began walking on the Rue de Vaugirard, which is the longest road in Paris.

We took it to the Jardin du Luxembourg, which is a really beautiful park. We enjoyed the beauty of the park...and the people watching...

(an intense chess match)

We then walked up the street to see the Pantheon and the Sorbonne. Two beautiful old buildings...

(Sorbonne)

(Pantheon)
After walking around them, we headed north to find a place to eat. We found a place that looked really nice...unfortunately, the menu was entirely in French. That is when I busted out my French for Dummies on my iPhone and we figured out what everything on the menu meant anyway...haha...It was a really nice meal.

Then we headed to grab our new favorite ice cream -- Berthillon. A great way to cap off a great day.

Today, we are renting a car and heading out to Giverny...more adventures ahead.
